The first Easter service at Southeast Christian Church was fantastic! With a great team, we led hundreds of people in worship with songs like “Overcome,” “Ain’t No Grave,” and an original, “Horizon.” It was such an appropriate song for communion at Easter:
There’s love on the horizon
In the shadow of the cross
Your blood poured out to save us
You gave Your life for us
Doing an original song in the service was an honor that I’ll cherish for a while. This particular one was four years in the making, turned into a co-write with a friend, and finally landed a chorus earlier this year. It’s a special thing when something that was born in a private place over time and lived life takes form and is shared with others in worship, and when the private becomes public and connects other people with God!
However you will celebrate Easter, may yours be a happy one. He is risen! 🙌🏻 🙌🏻 🙌🏻
